MacOS26 Tahoe USB2 Class2 Interface issue with Mytek legacy DACs

We have received from the field, and confirmed in September 2025 an USB2 Class2 audio interface compatibility issue on certain Mac hardware when the Mac computer is updated to Tahoe.  Mytek DACs is not detected as an audio device in Tahoe. Technically, all these DACs as well as Tahoe should be compatible with USB2 Class2 standard and working, but there appears to be some bug in the initialization data string which Mytek programmers are now working to identify and fix.  The USB2 interface for legacy DACs has been developed by our former contract manufacturer , HEM Electronic of Poland, we stopped collaborating with in 2021, but now we have approached HEM for assistance with providing a quick solution to the issue. Please check this page every few days for updates and resolution. In meantime hold off with an update to Tahoe if possible. Mytek Tech Support.

Each individual Mytek product undergoes comprehensive quality control and a complete test before shipping. This Mytek product is warranted by Mytek to the original purchaser against defects in workmanship and materials used in manufacture for a period of two years from the date of purchase for all products and 5 years for the flagship Empire series products. Faults due to customer misuse, unauthorized modifications or accidents are not covered by this warranty. Removal of serial number sticker voids warranty. No other warranty is expressed or implied. If you suspect that your product is faulty, please contact the place of purchase or alternatively: in the U.S.: Mytek US Office in New York, in the E.U.: Mytek EU Office in Warsaw, Poland. Prior to shipping for warranty services, the customer or dealer MUST OBTAIN an RMA number from Mytek. Units sent without RMA number will not be accepted. Mytek extends reasonably priced repair service for all units manufactured to date that are less than 10 years old. Older equipment may or may not be repaired depending on the availability of parts.
