Mytek Audio was established in New York City in 1992, by Michal Jurewicz who then worked as the tech engineer at Skyline Recording Studios on E36th Street in Manhattan, which also became the first Mytek location in NYC. Designed in 1992 for Skyline, the Mytek Private Q individual cue headphone system that was the first such system made in the USA and is still after all these years the very best. It was sold to pretty much every large recording studio in the United States, there are over 500 PQ systems in use today. Private Q is  the best because it is brilliantly designed featurewise, it's analog and it is the loudest with the best sound quality. Notable users include studios of Metallica, Shangri La and Rick Rubin, Electric Lady, and maBut the core Mytek expertise became the digital audio conversion developed through the ever evolving digital audio revolution of the 90"s and 2000's where Mytek and has been building digital audio converters for mastering and recording Studios with its first designed in 1992 to augment Sony digital tape machines at Skyline. Subsequently all major studios and mastering facilities including Masterdisk, Sterling Sound, Bob Ludwig, Doug Sax, Library of Congress, Mofi, Lincoln Library, Chesky Records, and many others continue using Mytek ADCs and DACs today. Our 8X192ADDA MCH converters are still a solid MCH AD/DA base for large Avid systems in many large studios. While expanding in the HiFi market in 2010, Mytek has recently restarted their effort in the proaudio markets with plans for new generation of pro audio converter products. We continue supporting proaudio engineers, producers and artists with our best sounding digital audio converters and amplifiers  and our legendary Private Q studio headphone monitoring system.
